Lightbulb Ideas regarding modification of pulsar 135

I want to modify my pulsar 135 ls '11. At this moment, i'm considering cosmetic mods only..
The ideas which i want to implement are
    i) rear set foot pegs
ii) change the stock handle bars to something more sporty.. say like the apache rtr series.

    The queries and doubts are
    i) to install rearset footpegs, i'm guessing i will have to change the gear shift lever and the rear brake lever as well.. Exactly how much trouble am i in?
ii) most importantly, WHERE IN PUNE (OR NEARBY) do i get these parts (and the people to install them) ???

Seems that the bike mod scene here stops with k&n and strange looking fibreglass body kits (no offence to anyone). And in case i do think k&n, dearth of good people to tune the carb after the mod..

    Plz help me out here!!

I cant understand this! You want to install the rear footpegs at the front or what????sorry cant get your thought correctly.

You can fix RTR clip ons but you need to fix it with the help of a experienced well trained mechanic. If not you will face the consequences at hard times.
My suggestion a big no to the above mods.

About K&n airfilter P135 did not got any official K&n Airfilter. But its siblings P150..180..220 got official K&n airfilter BA-2201.
But you can fix universal airfilter RC1060 which is available at cheaper price. Remember replacing air filter will not boost the performance or mileage.

What kind of upgrades your are interested Cosmetics or Performance wise??

If you want performance , you can go for iridium spark plug and FFE .

Most of the bike accidents is caused by the loose nut between the handle bar and the seat

I meant i want to attach the footpegs like the ones found on say rtr (again) or r15 or even pulsar 180 if i'm not wrong..
Like footpegs that make the sitting posture more forward-leaning (more sporty)

Given the cost of petrol these days, performance mods are probably out of question

And moreover, there are no serious performance mods available for the 135ls. like nothing that increases output to say 14.5 or 15 bhp

so for now its mostly cosmetic i guess

    What is an FFE??

About installing iridium spark plugs, i have my doubts to how it increases performance
As in whatever the spark plug is made up of, ultimately it does the same thing: emit a spark at the right time.
And the voltage at which the spark is generated is dependent more on the medium between the electrodes, so again, i fail to see the benefit of iridium electrodes.

Rearset foot pegs can to put but you gotta change the brake and gear lever too. . This isn't very difficult. Many people do it. You just gotta find a correct person for the job.
And irridium plugs help during cold starts and with only little powergain(which isn't noticeable)
k&n is also crap, finding a perfect ffe or free flow exhaust is also difficult.
Big no to changing stock handlebars. My suggestion get a rear set footpegs and nice paintjob to make your bike stand out of the crowd.

And ffe or free flow exhaust works a bit like free flow filter, while free flow filter gives in more air, free flow exhaust throws out more air(or gas), which makes very efficient combustion. And free flow exhaust combined with a free flow filter make the engine breathe very well and resultin good power bump.

It would be a big help if you can provide the contacts of such a person who can carry out the mod
also, i have heard that paintjobs decrease the resale value.. not that im planning to sell my bike in the near future, but will give it a thought..

well, a perfectly tuned FFE can result in 10-12% power bump. A well tuned ffe+fff with proper jets can make your bike beat a stock p150.

It'll be possible, but now this time we can't say anything regarding its price and all.. because its just launched. Only 5 of 'em are out on road now.

It would look totally weird and funny bcoz the rear part of P135 is so small.
